Fenghai Duan, Ph.D. Brown University Associate Professor of Biostatistics and Ilana Gareen, Ph.D. Brown University Associate Professor of Epidemiology will co-lead a subaward from UC Irvine and National Cancer Institute. The project is titled  “Improving medication adherence using a CONnected CUstomized Treatment Platform (CONCURxP)".

Project summary:
Cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) has been shown to improve progression free survival as a first-line or second-line systemic therapy when added to endocrine therapy in hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2–negative (HER2-) metastatic breast cancer (MBC). We propose to test an innovative and personalized intervention to improve CDK4/6i adherence by conducting a randomized controlled trial (RCT) of a CONnected CUstomized Treatment Platform (CONCURxP) vs. enhanced usual care (EUC).
