The Brown University School of Public Health and the Data Science Institute are pleased to announce an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with emphasis in Health Data Science.

The IBES Catalyst Research Award supports Brown faculty pursuing research that advances IBES’s mission. Corwin Zigler is collaborating to address a persistent challenge in environmental health.

Alyssa Bilinski, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, dives into the ethical, regulatory, and scientific challenges involved in building more inclusive research, and explores how the current gaps may lead to hidden risks for pregnant people who must rely on limited or indirect evidence when making medical decisions.

Congratulations to Joseph Cappelleri for receiving the 2025 APHS Achievement award!

Rebecca Hubbard, Ph.D., detailed how biostatistical methods she practices at Brown are addressing biases inherent in randomized controlled trials. She also discussed how she and her students are processing large clinical-care datasets to draw findings from real-world settings.
