The Brown University Department of Biostatistics held a welcome reception to kick off the 2023- 24 academic year where we recognized:

  • 6 incoming PhD students  
  • 21 returning PhD students and candidates 
  • 17 incoming Master’s students
  • 20 returning 2nd-year Master’s students 
  • 10 Undergraduate Statistical Concentrators

In addition, the Department welcomed Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, Ying MA. The Center for Statistical Sciences welcomes three new staff members, Akhil Ambekar, Seth Bittig, and Thomas Kenny.

We are excited for this new academic year and welcome our 74 graduate students and current contingent of undergraduate concentrators, as well as all of our faculty and staff!  We are looking forward to an engaging and energized 2023-24 academic year!
