We are pleased to announce the promotion of Fenghai Duan, Ph.D. to the position of Professor of Biostatistics on the Research Scholar track, effective July 1, 2024. Duan joined the Department of Biostatistics and Center for Statistical Sciences at Brown University in 2008. He received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Yale University.
Duan is primarily working in the Biostatistics Center of ECOG-ACRIN, conducting clinical cancer research focused on the design, conduct, and analysis of multicenter clinical trials, with a special emphasis on the integral and integrated roles of advanced imaging. His research interest also extends to the rapidly growing field of radiogenomics within cancer research, where Duan is focusing on developing robust high-throughput radiogenomic markers to enhance the interpretation of complex cancer behaviors to refine and expedite decision-making processes in clinical practice. Another noteworthy aspect of his research involves designing and conducting cancer trials that focus on patient-reported outcomes (PROs), aiming to increase the applicability of clinical trial results to real-world patient experiences and ultimately improve patient care and treatment strategies.
In his free time, Fenghai enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
