We had an amazing turnout at the 2024 Biostatistics Commencement Reception celebration, where Department Chair Joseph Hogan gave his remarks and recognized the extraordinary achievements of our students. The 2024 award winners were revealed for Doctorates, Master's and Undergraduate Statistics Concentrators.

 for her thesis entitled, “Bayesian Record Linkage with Variables in One File."

Master’s of Science Thesis Award of Excellence was awarded to Hannah Eglinton for her thesis entitled, “A Computationally Efficient Algorithm for Producing Risk Score Models with Applications to Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment Adherence."

The Undergraduate Statistics Concentration Capstone Poster Award of Excellence was awarded to Neha Narayan for her poster entitled “There’s No Such Thing As A Free Lunch: Application Costs and Exclusion from School Welfare Programs.”
