Presentations:

  • Arman Oganisian, Ph.D. gave a talk titled, "Advances in Bayesian Methods for Evidence-based Health Policy"
  • Ying Ma, Ph.D. gave a talk titled, "Advances in Statistical Methods for Single Cell and Spatial Omics Data Analysis" as well as being chair for the talk "Novel statistical methods for single cell and spatial multi-omics data analysis"
  • Youjin Lee, Ph.D. gave a talk titled, "Recognizing and Overcoming Obstacles to Causal Inference Arising from Spatial Structures"
  • Rebecca Hubbard, Ph.D. gave a talk titled, "Navigating Electronic Health Record Data for Deeper Insights: Case Studies and Statistical Solutions" as well as being chair for the talk "Synthetic Data in Preserving Privacy: Connections Across Federal Statistics and Health Data"
  • Roee Gutman, Ph.D. was a panelist for the talk, "Synthetic Data in Preserving Privacy: Connections Across Federal Statistics and Health Data"

Alice Paul, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, Director of the Undergraduate Statistics Concentration in Biostatistics received the 2024 Teaching Statistics in the Health Sciences (TSHS) Section's Young Investigator Award at the Teaching Statistics in the Health Sciences Mixer on Monday, August 5th at the 2024 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) in Portland, Oregon.
