We had an amazing turnout at the 2026 Biostatistics Commencement Reception celebration, where Chair of Biostatistics Joseph Hogan gave remarks and recognized the extraordinary achievements of our students. The 2026 award winners were revealed for Doctorates, Master's and Undergraduate Statistics Concentrators.

Public Health Research Day Winners

Approximately 40 of our Biostatistics students presented at the Annual SPH Public Health Research Day. Among the 2026 Top Graduate & Postgraduate Poster awards,

Amos Okutse was recognized among the PhDs for his poster presentation on “A Knowledge-infused multitask deep learning framework for longitudinal risk prediction and counterfactual modeling”

Ian Liu (ScM) was recognized among the Master’s program for his poster presentation on “A Deep Learning Framework for Protein Expression Prediction from Histology Images”

Pooja Yerneni (UG) was recognized among the Undergraduate programs for her poster presentation on “A SEAIHCRD Compartmental Model for Characterizing Early COVID-19 Pandemic Transmission Dynamics: Insights into Unmitigated Epidemic Dynamics”
