Congratulations to Christopher Schmid, Ph.D. Brown University Professor of Biostatistics who has been named a Fellow of the Society for Research Synthesis Methods (SRSM). SRSM is a cross-disciplinary society that supports and promotes the development and use of innovative and robust methods of research synthesis, also known as meta-analysis.
The Fellowship is a formal recognition of his exceptional contributions not only to the field of research synthesis but also to the Society. Schmid has been a member of SRSM since its founding in 2006. Schmid was a founding co-editor of the SRSM journal Research Synthesis Methods serving from 2010-2014. He also served as the Society's President from 2018- 2019 and was a Trustee for 11 years between 2008-2021. In 2013, the Brown University Center for Evidence Synthesis in Health hosted the Society's annual conference in Providence, R.I.
